Combine learning English with a work placement in a local company. Do you need English for your future career? Do you want to develop your knowledge and functional language for the workplace, whilst gaining invaluable work experience for your CV? If so, our Internship Programme is the perfect option for you. It offers you the chance to combine studying English at our academy with the opportunity to gain work experience in a local company.

We welcome students from 16 to 60+ to learn English on any of our adult courses. We have over 40 different nationalities studying with us every year and small class sizes of a maximum of just 10 students per class.

Internship Programme Description

You must study one of our General English or Afternoon General English courses for a minimum of 2 weeks. After this, you will be able to carry out an unpaid work placement with a local employer for 8-26 weeks. Only EU or EEA nationals, as well as Japanese, South Korean and Taiwanese students on a Youth Mobility Visa, are eligible for the Internship Programme.

Celtic English Academy will organise your work placement for you. You will be asked to complete an internship application form, expressing fields of work you are interested in, and provide us with an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV).

English Course Options

 

  • Basic 15 hours a week or 20 lessons
  • Standard 21 hours a week or 28 lessons
  • Intensive 30 hours a week or 40 lessons
