Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate International Summer School is for students from all around the world. It provides an opportunity to sample life at a leading UK Independent School, improve English skills and make friends for life.
Students will have access to a minimum of 15 hours of English language learning per week, with the option of extending this for an intensive language experience. Our summer courses are an ideal way to boost ability levels prior to starting any educational course in the UK.
Students can look forward to up to two excursions per fortnight. Field trips will be held weekly and offer a practical link to our elective options. Examples of field trips include, National Media and Science Museum, Hepworth Gallery, The Jorvik Centre and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
INTERNATIONAL JUNIORS (AGES 8 TO 12) regular price £ 2,600 for two weeks
INTERNATIONAL SENIORS (AGES 13 TO 17) regular price £ 3,000 for two weeks
Dates: Saturday 2 July – Sunday 17 July 2022 and Saturday 20 August – Sunday 4 September 2022
The fee is fully inclusive of teaching, accommodation, food, laundry, one fieldtrip per week and activities. Transfers are not included, but we are happy to advise on transfers.

The English Language Summer School is BACK in 2022 between July 3rd and August 6th and we look forward to seeing you in July 2022. Minimum stay is 2 weeks. Sunday arrivals and departures only. (apart from final Saturday!). We give the students the brightest, busiest and best holiday of their lives.
Students on the Summer Course always say how much they enjoy their classes and how much they learn during their stay. The learning process does not end in the classroom. All four language skills are consistently exploited throughout the day.
